Ashley "Robi" Robicheaux is a choreographer/movement director, dancer, teaching artist, and actress. She is currently based in Los Angeles, freelancing between these forms, and continuing to define her creative voice as an artist. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, she spent 7 years in NYC, where she earned her B.F.A in Dance from NYU, and performed in off- broadway shows such as PUNCHDRUNK's "Sleep No More", Third Rail Projects "The Grand Paradise, and Emily Terndrup + Derrick Belcham's "Fable" at the Knockdown Center, all the while choreographing her own work. Her choreography has been presented at venues such as National Sawdust, Gelsey Kirkland, the Wild Project, Peridance Capezio Center, and many others. From a young age, she began developing her choreography skills by making up dances to artists such as Brittney Spears, N'sync, and The Backstreet Boys in her living room with the neighborhood kids (often times forcing their entire families to come be an audience for their performances). Robi pretty much hasn't stopped since and today she is working with many inspiring music artists and filmmakers within the industry.
The roster of her previous and current clients include:
Her music video and film choreography has been featured on online platforms such as Nowness, NPR, Bullet Magazine, Nylon, Vogue, Galore, I-D Magazine, and many others.
In 2018, she made her debut as an actress in "Daddy", a feature film by Jonah Greenstien, which had its world premiere at Newfest's LGBTQ festival in Chelsea. She also co- produced the film. As woman of wearing many hats, she is equally as passionate about all of her creative endeavors. She is currently represented by BLOC Talent Agency as a dancer and choreographer, and NBS Entertainment as an actress.
